Fingers that Play the Guitar

Fingers that Play the Guitar

When a person learns to play a guitar his fingers must get calloused to handle the constant changing of notes. The soreness of fingers may not seem worth it but in the end you will be making beautiful music. Has God not done the same? He may push us through a time of vulnerability where we feel raw and sore. If we stick with it, He will strengthen us just as the minstrel’s fingers get calloused. In the ending of both, we’ll hear great music.
Practicing does not end at one setting, but a continual strengthening of one’s self day by day. May our soul and fingers never stop getting callouses so that we may not become weak and easy prey to the enemy. Let us practice everyday in both strengthening our fingers and our spirit.
